I’ve been thinking a lot about the mindset it takes to become a successful dancer or performer and decided to put together an initial video clip on 5 important success principles.  Enjoy!

    Hi Brandi,
Try watching it at the vimeo site http://vimeo.com/35151458. Let me know if you still have problems with it and then I’ll see about transcribing it.

    Deborah,
you ‘ve done a great job!Congratulations! The last 3 months I struggle to perform a double pirouette en pointe and I think I constantly sabotage myself by thinking how hard this can be. After your video, I will try to use a reverse thinking!
Thank you for your valuable information!

This video need to be seen by as many students of dance as possible! I have witnessed so many students with great ability just defete themselves with their mind!!!!! Having always taught,” What the mind believes-the mind achieves” this video is a wonderful way to continue the process.
I am publishing the link on my facebook!

Aigli, I had 2 students working on their pirouettes as their project last semester and they found it was so important to imagine themselves doing it calmly and easily. That is when they really started making progress! I know you can do it!

    Deborah,
I tried watching the video on the vimeo site as you suggested. It still cut out a great deal , but with a lot of
“rewinding” I managed to hear most of it.
    Thank you,
    Brandi

This is great to hear! It reminds me of mind body mastery by Dan McMilan!
Mind over body is such a powerful principle for daily lives!
Music is another great form of body mind healing. Sometime we just need to stop…before we can actually move forward!
